Whitby has one park & ride site, which is conveniently located, offering easy access to the popular seaside town. The park & ride site sits on the A171 (Guisborough Road) so can be accessed from across the North East (Middlesbrough, Hartlepool) as well as North Yorkshire (York, Leeds, Thirsk).

Whitby Guisborough Road Park & Ride
Buses run every 15 minutes (10 minutes between 17 July to 5 September) and the journey to Whitby Bus station takes just 14 minutes.
There are two services from Whitby park & ride, both of which are run by Arriva:
P1 – Whitby Bus Station (via West Cliff and St Hilda’s Terrace)
P2 – Whitby Bus Station (direct)

Opening times: Whitby park and ride is open between 11th April – 31st October:
- April 11th – July 16th: 8am – 7pm
- July 17th – September 5th: 8am – 9pm
- September 6th – September 30th: 8am – 7pm
- October 1st – October 31st: 8am – 5pm
NB: Although the park and ride in Whitby is open daily, buses do not run from the site on Tuesdays.
